If your dream Spanish property has to be close to the sea, then Dénia is ideal – with 20 kilometres of coastline, your only difficulty will be choosing which beach to visit. Most beaches along this coast are Blue Flag beaches. To the North lie long fine sandy beaches which then give way to beautiful rocky coves towards the South. Dénia witnesses temperatures of up to 40 °C in summer and only drops to 5 °C in winter, meaning you can enjoy all this fabulous region has to offer all year round. There are great facilities for water sports and if you are a golfer, there are plenty of great golf courses around the northern part of the Costa Blanca.

Dénia’s castle is probably its most visited tourist attraction, offering a beautiful view of the city itself and the surrounding areas. There is a museum within the castle providing a good introduction to the history and culture of Dénia.

During the last decade Dénia has seen a boom in real estate but has managed to keep its flair and Spanish charm.

The two main airports serving the Costa Blanca are Valencia and Alicante. The road networks from these to the Costa Blanca North are excellent. There are numerous flights into Alicante airport and Valencia airport to the north is also well serviced. Getting to Dénia is best via the N 332, along the coastline of the Costa Blanca, or the AP7 highway.
