Cumbre del Sol is an exclusive urbanisation, built along the sea front at the heart of Costa Blanca North. Its 3.7 million square metres are divided into different residential areas: with villas, townhouses, bungalows and apartments and landscaping carefully designed to provide a wealth of green spaces.
With superb views of the Mediterranean, this is a beach lover’s paradise. The nearest beach is Playa del Moraig, a pebbly beach with dramatic cliffs, caves and a scuba diving club. A very popular beach, there is a large car park, lifeguards on duty and a couple of beach bars.
Only 10 minutes away by car are the sandy beaches of El Portet and Moraira. As you would expect, all the amenities needed for daily living are on the doorstep: banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. There is even a horse riding centre. Within a short distance are several excellent golf courses – Javea Golf Club is around ten minutes away by car, as is La Sella Golf Club. Oliva Nova, where the 18 hole course was designed by Seve Ballesteros, is only half an hour away.
There is much to explore in the surrounding area: nearby Moraira has a marina and designer boutiques, and despite its popularity as a tourist destination, has managed to hang on to its authentic Spanish character and atmosphere. In the opposite direction, Javea has a fascinating Old Town, beach and working port.
The whole area has a reputation for outstanding cuisine – there are no less than eight Michelin recommended restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and they are not prohibitively expensive. The local restaurants make the very best of the huge variety of fresh local ingredients.
For an exciting family day out you can’t beat Benidorm, only around 30 minutes away – where you’ll find Mundomar Marine Park, Aqualandia Water Park and Terra Mitica theme park. Even closer is El Vergel Safari Park, near Denia.
Cumbre del Sol is a little over an hour by car from either Alicante or Valencia airport and is perfectly located to explore all that this ever popular region has to offer.
