Los Dolses is an established gated community, only a short drive (or a 15 minute walk) from the popular Villamartin development on the beautiful Costa Blanca. There is a large expat community – mainly British and German – and the area is popular not only for holiday homes, but also with retirees and families who have chosen to relocate to Spain.
Los Dolses, as you would expect from a development of this calibre, is well equipped with amenities: banks, shops, a large Spanish supermarket (and a smaller English one for those things you miss from home!), hairdressers, opticians, bars, restaurants and a large garden centre. The local infant and junior school has a mix of pupils of all nationalities – lessons are mostly in Spanish though!
It’s a golf lovers paradise, with three championship courses nearby – Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. With pretty much year round sunshine, you can spend plenty of time on the greens. The Costa Blanca has a great deal more to offer than golf though – incredible Blue Flag beaches, stunning countryside, and a host of activities for all the family to enjoy. Torrevieja – only a 15 minute drive away – has everything else you might need, including healthcare and further educational facilities.
Los Dolses couldn’t be easier to get to. It’s five minutes from the A7 motorway which will take you to Alicante’s El Altet airport in 50 minutes, and San Javier International in 20, both of which offer cheap flights to and from the UK and the rest of Europe on a daily basis.
